How do I find number one firing point inside the cap of an electronic distributor?

It is a Procomp electronic dizzy for a 253/308. There does not appear to be any marks inside the cap to line up and I do not have an old one with leads on it to compare the new one to.

Looks like your going to have to do it the hard way. Run number 1 piston up to top dead center, with the intake and exhaust valves closed. Look at the rotor on the distributor and see were it is pointing. If your timing calls for 6 degrees before top dead center, back the crank up so timing mark is lined up at 6 degrees. The rotor should now point to number 1. because it's in the firing posistion. Note the direction of rotation of the rotor. Plug wires should be placed in the order of firing order on the cap.
