How to Choose the Right Poker Felt Table Cloth

Are you someone who is ready to take your poker play to the next level? It is one thing to deal your cards on the kitchen table after it has been cleared off, and it is quite another thing to sit down to a poker table than feels no different from sitting down at a casino! Take a moment to consider how you can move forward and how to make sure that you are going to be able to get the table that you need.

There are a number of different factors that can go into making a good poker table, and one of the prime considerations that you should keep in mind is the poker felt table cloth. The poker felt table cloth that you use to on the top of the table is something that will really give you a specific look, so see what you can do to get the look that you are after.

The first thing that you should be aware of upon starting your search for the right poker felt table cloth is that it comes in two broad varieties. While there is some variation in these two varieties, you will soon find that as long as you know what the general division is, you are going to be good shape.

In the first place, there is generic felt, which you may find anywhere, and speed cloth felt, which needs to be special ordered. What is the difference between these two kinds fabric and is it worth the extra money to look into getting speed cloth? Many people who have it will say yes, and this is something that you need to decide for yourself.

When you are dealing with speed cloth, remember that it allows cards to slide more easily across the table. Have you ever dealt out hands of poker only to have the cards snag or halt on the table? When you use speed cloth for your poker felt table cloth, you will discover that this is much less of an issue. You will see the cards slide very easily over the table and this can improve the look and even the speed of the game.

You will also find that using speed cloth can improve the look of the table as well. The speed cloth that is used on poker tables will tend to be sturdier, allowing for a longer usable life of the felt, but you will find that it will also be easier to print things on it.

There is very good dye sublimation on speed cloth and you will be able to put some fairly high quality graphics on your poker felt table cloth. Whether you choose to put your last name in fancy font or an image that means something very dear to you is your choice. Also consider suited speed felt, which refers to a pattern of the suits on cards printed on the felt itself.
