Is there anyway possible to install Vista Home Premium on a 697 mhz Pentium 3?

I have looked on the internet hi & low for info on installing Vista on my "outdated" yet "priceless to me" computer.
I had a friend get my hopes up by telling me ther eis a way to do this, as he was walking out the doors of our apt. complex.
I would like to do a clean install or even just totally wipe out my computer all together, with or without Vista, but I cant even accomplish this task.
So please, if anybody has any extra time on their hands & would have an answer to this, please feel free to give me your advice.

It will install, but it will run like a dog, You will not run your computer a day, before you set it on the curb and march down to your local computer store to purchase a new one. Hardware requirements are high for Vista. The storage drive will not be the problem, it will be your very low end processor, graphics card and memory. The aero interface would probably not install at all, and if you are into gaming, forget about DirectX 10 as it you will not find a card for you computer as it is only being produced for the PCI-e bus, which your computer does not support. Take the $400 you were going to spend on Vista Premium and apply to a new computer with Vista pre-installed instead. You can still make use of your current setup, as a firewall or internet gateway.
