So I'm wanting to buy a jacket and it's pleather. Will it crack and dry out in my dry Colorado Climate?

I'm wanting to buy a pleather jacket and I'm wondering if it's going to be a big problem that I live in Colorado with a dry climate. Please let me know.

I'm not sure about dry climates, but I know in cold climates pleather will crack and break. You could buy it as a summer jacket and only wear it when the weather is suitable! Just a thought =)
