what to wear what to wear?

ok. im gonna set this right from the start. I dont usually worry about what I'm wearing. i usually opt for a pair of jeans, a black tshirt (band logo optional) and maybe a hoody (band logo again). This has worked for me for the past four years, but i got an invite to a party (yay) and i was asked (subtly) if i was gonna wear what i usually wear (what?). so. heres the question.

Im 16. A guy. Blue Eyes. Brown Hair. Average-tallish height......What should I wear to a casual party-type thing. Suggestions from ladies and guys. you can leave links to pics or websites or whatever if you really feel like helping me help. have fun (but dont spam =])

this is pretty casual but kinda spiffy so here goes...
tight black jeans. not blue but black...AND unfaded! and if u can find them, leather pants look really cute.
a black dress shirt is really nice. but don't do the tie crap and button it up all the way. thats looks dumb. wear it kinda casual.
or if u take the next step. wear a dress shirt thats an extremely bright color. blue eyes..mmm... opt for a dress shirt close to your eyes and since the rest of you ensemble is black (everything is black, even your socks and underwear!) it should really pop and make your eyes stand out. and again, keep everything casual.
