Jacksonville Jaguars tickets are getting a boost in popularity as the fans analyze who the Jags picked up in the NFL Draft. But how will these new rookies affect the Jaguars, their wins, and the popularity of Jacksonville Jaguars tickets? The newly-acquired draft picks will certainly help out, but will they aid an area that was already good to go, or are they going to pick up a place on the roster that needed much more help? Let’s check out the new players and go over how they will improve the stats from 2007.

If you saw the Jaguars last season, you know that they were a better offensive team than they were a defensive team, but that they weren’t exactly terrible on the defensive side of the ball, either. Total points allowed was 304, well below the average in the league. Pass defense was probably the best part of the D, as the Jags were able to snag the 4th most interceptions in the league (20), leading to a +9 turnover differential. 15 different Jacksonville players had sacks in 2007. And you might add a couple more to that list after the draft that the Jags had. They added Derrick Harvey in the first round, a DE taken eighth overall. Harvey comes from Florida, which is a school that’s produced some quality defensive linemen lately. Their second round pick was a defensive end as well, #52 overall Quentin Groves out of Auburn. Both of these guys will play next year, but they might not get onto the field at the same time. Still, they are two players who could become good pros, and the Jags are now better at a position where they were a little weak. The Jags didn’t pick again until the fifth round, when they got Thomas Williams, a linebacker from USC.

As you probably already know, one of the team’s highlights- probably the best thing about the Jags last year- was the ground game. When you can control the trenches like the Jaguars did in 2007, you’re going to have a good season. The Jags ran for a team total of 2,391 yards, ranking them second in the NFL in total ground yardage. Needless to say, they used their running backs and QB sneaks often, as they also had the second most rushing attempts (522) in the league. The Jags scored 18 rushing TDs, gained an average of 4.6 yards per attempt, and only lost the ball four times while rushing the. All of those stats were well above average. Because the Jags have Fred Taylor, we shouldn’t expect that the late-round selection of Chauncey Washington will mean too much. Although, if you get Jacksonville Jaguars tickets for some blow out games, you might get to see him in some garbage minuets, running the ball into a wall of angry defenders who know he’s coming.

Anybody else thinks that the Jacksonville Jaguars should move to San Antonio?

Its pretty much been established that Jacksonville isn't an NFL City. People in Jacksonville don't care enough about their team to support them on a consistent basis and thats been established. So why not just move them to San Antonio? They have the Alamodome there. Its the 7th Biggest City in America. Its 3 Hours from Dallas and 5 Hours from Houston and people there love Football so why not? The San Antonio Jaguars? Has a nice ring to it, doesn't it? Also, they can keep the Jaguars in the AFC South by moving them to San Antonio

With respect to San Antonio if the NFL moves the Jaguars it will be to Los Angeles the 2nd biggest city and it has a new stadium ready to be built (Swartzenager signed a new deal)

Plus when San Antonio had the USFL's Gunslingers they drew poorly (Even for a USFL team)
