I don't think her game was best suited to grass. Maybe modern grass but certainly not grass of the early 90s, which was much faster and less predictable in bounce.

Back in those days you needed to be a net player to win Wimbledon. Seles had this ridiculous two handed forehand that she played from the baseline. That was never going to get the job done on grass.

Even in her prime when she was winning everything else, Steffi Graf destroyed her in Wimbledon (6-1 6-2 I think). The stabbing did not affect her chances at winning Wimbledon.
