Audi A3 Tdi In The Spotlights Of The Superbowl 2010 Green Police Ad Campaign

Audi has recently announced its plans to launch a new marketing ad campaign, which is to be spotlighted in the 2010 Superbowl. This campaign is centered around a series of humorous ad videos, who are introducing  the "Green Police," environment protective "law agency." They have already released a number of these ad videos on YouTube at www.youtube.com/greenpolice. Green police is responsible for catching "bad guys" who are responsible for infractions such as "napkin abuse." The campaign is based on certain surveys regarding the ecology measures that can supposedly improve the state of our environment significantly. For instance, regarding the above mentioned "napkin abuse," this ad campaign claims that we could save millions of tons of napkins, by avoiding the overuse of them. This would help avoid creating giant landfills where these napkins generally end up. Another of the ideas propagated at this occasion is the possibility of saving tons of CO2 form being released, if we avoid keeping out electronics plugged, when not in use.

This campaigns goals is to promote the new Audi A3 TDI clean diesel model. This car was recently awarded with the Green Car Journal award, called the Green Car of the Year award. Green Car Journal has been giving out this award since 2005, and so far 3 hybrids, and two clean diesel models have been awarded with it. Green Car Journal is dealing with the intersection of car industry and the environmental care since 1992.

Since the Superbowl is such an elite sporting competition, with millions of viewers form around the world, the team in charge of this marketing campaign did their best to make the videos around which this campaign is centered, memorable, funny, and original. In all honesty, this was  expected from such a big car industry player, like Audi, and from an ad campaign created for the Superbowl.
