Could Have
Could I have a sinus headache?
A week ago, I got a sore throat that continued for about 2 days. the sore throat was then followed by a stuffy nose (which I still have). Now, for the past 4 days I have had a horrible headache. Usually when I get headaches, I just have to sleep it off and they're gone. But this time I have been getting tons of sleep but it won't go away. So I have a really stuffy nose and a headache. the headache is at the top, back, left side of my head and it throbs when I walk, sniffle, cough, or move my head. It doesn't hurt when I'm just sitting down.
Could this be a sinus infection/headache? If it is, what can I do to get rid of it or help it? (preferably without medication or seeing a doctor). If it isn't, then what could it be?
thanks! If it helps, I'm a 14 year old girl.
if you want to know if you have a sinus infection, press the sinus points with your fingers (at the base of your nose, where it meets your eyebrows). if you are experiencing a sharp pain, then it's probably sinus related. the treatment consists of antibiotics prescribed by your doctor (he would need a sinus radiography to be sure of the diagnosis).
I could have danced all night

How the South Could Have Won the Civil War $11.99 Could the South have won the Civil War? To many, the very question seems absurd. After all, the Confederacy had only a third of the population and one-eleventh of the industry of the North. Wasn’t the South’s defeat inevitable? Not at all, as acclaimed military historian Bevin Alexander reveals in this provocative and counterintuitive new look at the Civil War. In fact, the South most definitely could have won the war, and Alexander documents exactly how a Confederate victory could have come about—and how close it came to happening. Moving beyond fanciful theoretical conjectures to explore actual plans that Confederate generals proposed and the tactics ultimately adopted in the war’s key battles, How the South Could Have Won the Civil War offers surprising analysis on topics such as: •How the Confederacy had its greatest chance to win the war just three months into the fighting—but blew it •How the Confederacy’s three most important leaders—President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson—clashed over how to fight the war •How the Civil War’s decisive turning point came in a battle that the Rebel army never needed to fight •How the Confederate army devised—but never fully exploited—a way to negate the Union’s huge advantages in manpower and weaponry •How Abraham Lincoln and other Northern leaders understood the Union’s true vulnerability better than the Confederacy’s top leaders did •How it is a myth that the Union army’s accidental discovery of Lee’s order of battle doomed the South’s 1862 Maryland campaign •How the South failed to heed the important lessons of its 1863 victory at Chancellorsville How the South Could Have Won the Civil War shows why there is nothing inevitable about military victory, even for a state with overwhelming strength. Alexander provides a startling account of how a relatively small number of tactical and strategic mistakes cost the South the war—and changed the course of history. From the Hardcover edition. |

What We Could Have Done With the Money $7.95 The war in Iraq is not only controversial, it's also astronomically expensive. Now Rob Simpson answers the question many concerned Americans have been asking: Wasn't there some other way the government could have spent one trillion of our tax dollars What We Could Have Done with the Money presents 50 thought-provoking spending alternatives. With a trillion dollars, we could . . . Fix Social Security right now: Stop worrying. Stop debating. It's done. Over. Fixed. End homelessness in America: House 15 million homeless families, get a million kids out of foster care, and have change to spare! Give everyone in the world satellite TV: Can we have the revolution later? I'm watching CSI right now. Pay everyone in Iraq to be nice to each other: Hey! If someone tripled your salary for the next 20 years, wouldn't you behave? Go Green: Give 100 million car buyers a $10,000 subsidy on their hybrid. Or gold . . . : Pave every highway in America with gold leaf. Play ball! : Fly everyone in Iraq to America, put them up in a nice hotel for three days with all the extras, take them to a baseball game and fly them home . . . and have a lot leftover. Cure cancer: Double research spending for as long as it takes. . . . not to mention paying all credit card debt, buying everyone in the world an iPad, building 75 million solar-powered homes, and 39 other revealing pipe dreams. Shocking, thought-provoking, and incredibly entertaining, Simpson takes a hard look at the government's top priorities--both what they are and what they should be. |

The Law as it Could Be $75 The Law As It Could Be gathers Fiss’s most important work on procedure, adjudication and public reason, introduced by the author and including contextual introductions for each piece—some of which are among the most cited in Twentieth Century legal studies. Fiss surveys the legal terrain between the landmark cases of Brown v. Board of Education and Bush v. Gore to reclaim the legal legacy of the Civil Rights Movement. He argues forcefully for a vision of judges as instruments of public reason and of the courts as a means of shaping society in the image of the Constitution. In building his argument, Fiss attends to topics as diverse as the use of the injunction to restructure social institutions; how law and economics have misunderstood the role of the judge; why the movement seeking alternatives to adjudication fails to serve the public interest; and why Bush v. Gore was not the constitutional crisis some would have us believe. In so doing, Fiss reveals a vision of adjudication that vindicates the public reason on which Brown v. Board of Education was founded. |

For Student Series Poetry: What the Poets Could Have Been by Julianna Baggott $8.99 What the Poets Could Have Been is from Julianna Baggott's first collection of poetry, This Country of Mothers, published in 2001. The poetry in this collection can best be defined as stories of family and of change and growth. These are poems of childhood, of parents and grandparents, of miscarriage and childbirth, and of the metamorphosis from daughter to mother. This collection is dedicated to Baggott's mother, Glenda, and to her daughter, Phoebe, which is appropriate, since the poems are drawn from Baggott's own memories of being a daughter and mother. "What the Poets Could Have Been" fits neatly into this collection of memories and transformation. Like her novels, Baggott's poetry is autobiographical. "What the Poets Could Have Been" is from chapter four of the collection, which includes poems that do not seem to fit neatly into the other four chapters of this book. The poems in this chapter are about spirituality and religion, about death and torture during war, and about being a poet. What they all have in common, though, is the poet's response to events or people. "What the Poets Could Have Been" recognizes the journey that Baggott undertook in becoming a poet. In this poem, Baggott explores several aspects of the poet's creative process, including the importance of imagination and creativity in producing poetry. One important aspect of "What the Poets Could Have Been" is Baggott's conjecture regarding what poets might have done with their lives had they chosen.... |
