Carlisle United’s Greg Abbott Agrees Contract Extension

Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott has  agreed a two-12 months extension to his  contract at Brunton Park.

Chairman Andrew Jenkins instructed supporters  on the membership's Annual Common Meeting  that Abbott had agreed a deal to stay  till 2013.

"We're delighted that we've sorted  this out," Jenkins told the membership's  official website.

"We feel that he is doing a great job  and that he and his crew are going from  strength to strength."

Abbott's new deal is a reward for  bringing stability to Brunton Park, as  properly as a trip to Wembley in the shape  of final season's Johnstone's Paint  Trophy closing defeat by Southampton.

The forty six-year-previous arrived on the club as  assistant to Neil McDonald and loved a  spell as caretaker boss earlier than staying  on as assistant to John Ward.
