Windows Live Messenger wants to end a critical process?

I'm trying to install WLM 9.0 but it says that csrss.exe needs to be closed along with another program to continue, I've heard that ending csrss.exe can give a Blue screen. Is it safe to go ahead, or should I just click on "Leave these programs open"?

I would suggest you run a system scan on your PC first. CSRSS.exe can be a trojan as well as an important windows file. check the directory its in. the genuine one should be in c:windowssystem32 anywhere else and its probably a trojan.

WLM 9.0 should want to stop CSRSS.exe it has no reason too. It may ask to close things like running apps i.e. firefox or internet explorer, but not system files, I've just installed it and all it did was tell me to close firefox.
