Simple Guide on How to Make a Beer Pong Table

Beer Pong is a game commonly played in college areas. The table is the biggest and most important part of the game. There are no official rules for beer pong and the ones that are used alter significantly from coast to coast, state to state and college to university. Check the rules that others in your area follow before starting construction of your table. Things you'll need :

*Table
*Plywood
*three 2-by-4 inch boards
*Paint or whatever you want to use to decorate or customize the table
*Waterproof sealer

Follow these straightforward steps to build your custom beer pong table.

1.Take a well ventilated area such as a warehouse and clear it. Find a table to use as a base. This can either be a table that you are already using, such as a kitchen table, or you can purchase a cheap folding table for just this purpose.

2. Cut the plywood to the right measurements for the beer pong table. Technically, there are no official rules for the game of beer pong so the measurements of the table can change greatly from area to area. The typical size is 8 by four feet.

3. Adjust the peak of the table. Cut at least three pieces of 2-by-4 or 4-by-4 to the same width of your table. Lay the boards equally across the table. You can stack and nail many pieces of 2-by-4 in order to get the proper height that is required by the rules of your area. Again, the guidelines change greatly so the height may be anywhere from 27.5 to forty five inches.

4. Draw boundaries on the plywood top. There are often three lines that are required by most rules : The mid line that divides the table in half, and the foul lines that are a foot from the edge of each side of the table.

5. Decorate the plywood. You can use paint, bottle caps or anything else you want to customize the surface of your table. This is your chance to customize your table.

6. Water-proof the plywood. It is best to cover the surface of the table in a water-resistant sealer in order to protect the wood from water damage. This will protect the wood and make sure that your table lasts better.

7. Set up the table you are using as a base, place the set of three 2-by-4 boards uniformly across the table and place the plywood on top. This sets up the beer pong table for playing.

How can I drink wine or beer without getting hives?

I believe I have recently developed an allergy to wine and beer. Hives form after a glass. I don't drink very often, but do enjoy wine or beer occasionally and would like to still be able to have some. Is there something I can do to prevent the hives, itching, swelling that comes with it? I have been enjoying wine and beer for years, and only just recently started having this problem.

That's a tough question. I suffer from allergies myself, and I have reactions to certain red wines-they give me terrible hangovers even if I only drink a glass.

I would advise you NOT to take an antihistamine, since it tends to make you drowsy-it will probably intensify the effects of the alcohol.

If you really and truly enjoy the taste of wine and beer, then go to an allergist and see if they can run a prick test on you to find out which ones cause you the most problems. I would try white wine, since it has a much lower level of histimines (red wine is high in histamines!) and it might be easier on your system.

Another thought: an allergist once told my sister to think of allergy tolerance like a bucket. If you are avoiding other allergens and aren't having any other reactions, then you'll probably have fewer problems with one glass of beverage, (think of it like a single drop in the bucket) but if you are already reacting to something else, that one last drop in the bucket will make it overflow-your reaction will worsen.

Also consider organic beverages-it may be residue from a chemical or pesticide which is the source of your allergy. You can get these at Whole Foods and similar supermarkets and whole foods stores.
